The woman who shot at Rihanna’s Los Angeles home with an AR-15-style rifle while the singer was inside has been charged with attempted murder.
The pop icon, 38, is thought to be unharmed after the woman, now identified as Ivanna Ortiz, 30, fired bullets from her car at the Beverly Hills house.
Ortiz, from Florida, is being held on $10,200,000 (£7.6m) bail after being arrested in her white Tesla around eight miles (12km) from the scene.
It’s unknown if Rihanna’s three children – RZA, three, Riot, two, and Rocki, five months – were also home at the time.
The woman was taken into custody after firing ‘at least 10 shots ‘ from across the street from the property’s gate, as per the Los Angeles Times.
She then sped away from the home but was arrested after police responded to reports of gunfire at around 1.15pm local time (9.15pm GMT) on Sunday.

‘When they pulled the suspect over and took her into custody, they searched the vehicle and located an assault rifle and seven casings’ said Armen Arias, an LAPD spokesperson to the LA Times.
Authorities are currently unsure of the motive, with a source close to the family confirming to The New York Post her partner A$AP Rocky, 37, was not home at the time.
While the family is said to be ‘doing okay’, they ‘don’t know much’ and are in the dark about the incident.
Police have reportedly blocked off the street outside Rihanna’s home as well as taping up the $14million mansion, situated across the street from Sir Paul McCartney.
The neighbourhood is also home to Mariah Carey, who is reportedly staying in a luxury mansion owned by Madonna.

Rihanna and A$AP purchased the gated property, which features five bedrooms, seven bathrooms, and a pool, in 2021.
The following year, they welcomed their first child, RZA, followed by Riot in 2023 and recent addition to the family, Rocki, born last September.
In true Rihanna fashion, she dramatically confirmed they were expecting their third child by showing off her baby bump at the Met Gala.
A$AP, real name Rakim Mayers, said he was ‘hoping for a girl’ this time, telling Elle Magazine: ‘This pregnancy is so different from the other two.
‘You can tell from the experience. I hope it’s a baby girl, man. I need that.’

The family largely stay out of the spotlight, keeping their kids out of pictures when possible and only attending a handful of celebrity events each year.
